Easter 2009

I love Easter! I love the symbolism of renewal in everything around us. We have had such a beautiful, prolonged Spring for this area. We have enjoyed planting a garden and watching things grow - and watching things come to life again. I am so thankful for Jesus Christ. Every year I feel like I am a little more aware of the significance of what He did for us. Sometimes it is very overwhelming. I know that He loves me and I am so grateful for His atoning sacrifice. Mostly, I am so happy to know that I will get to see Dad and my other loved ones again!

I meant to take more pictures. I especially meant to take dressed-up Easter pictures, but I didn't do it. Here are the few I got when we colored eggs on Saturday.

You can't see very well, but Danny's egg is supposed to be a Phoenix Sun's egg.

I love my boys!

Happy Halloween!

This is always a favorite tradition - but it just hasn't been the same with Emily gone.  Also, we were just getting over a nasty stomach flu, so the pumpkin smell was a little too much!

Halloween was on a Friday this year - yay!  Ryan had missed the whole week of school from being sick, but we let him go trick-or-treating for a little while anyway.  Danny always has a gang of friends that he goes with - Taylor and Alex both had parties - so all had a great time.  Miss you Emily:(

Alex is "Nacho Libre", isn't it hilarious?  All the kids had great costumes this year. Taylor got his "early 70's" look from Savers.  Danny makes a great "Amigo"  and Ryan is a cute "Karate Kid".
